A group of survivors of the rabies virus live on a small island. When one of the group leaves the island for the mainland, they discover secrets, wonders and horrors that have transformed not only the infected but also the other survivors. The trailer includes a distinctive recording of the poem ‘Boots’ by Rudyard Kipling, read by actor Taylor Holmes in 1915. The poem’s repetitive rhythm imagines the march of British soldiers during the Boer War, and the US military uses this recording of the poem to simulate psychological distress in captivity.
